Maintenance Technician

We currently have an opening for a Maintenance Technician with 3+ year’s experience in our Maintenance Department.

The successful candidate will possess: Hands on experience troubleshooting, running diagnostic programs, repairing, and maintaining Injection Molding presses (ideally Arburg and/or Toshiba), Stamping presses, and applicable peripheral equipment; solid computer skills in basic Office package; strong communication skills; the ability to work to schedule deadlines and proactively communicate conflicts that may interfere with staying on schedule; a willingness to travel offsite and participate in vendor training as it relates to equipment; and the ability to assist in training of production personnel as required.

Candidate should have the ability to work a standard or modified shift. Possibility exists for on call shifts.

Mold Setter Trainee

We currently have an opening for a Mold Setter Trainee in our Molded Production Department. Experience in the Injection Molding process and a working knowledge of common injection molding workmanship standards and procedures is preferred. Excellent mechanical ability, attention to detail, troubleshooting skills, and a strong work ethic are required.

The successful candidate will, under the Supervision of Management and experienced Mold Setters: work from schedules, oral, and written instructions to set up manual, semiautomatic, and fully automatic injection molding machines; troubleshoot equipment and make simple mechanical repairs as necessary; perform inspections with measuring instruments and test equipment; complete and file records; and read and interpret drawings and specifications.

During training, it will be day hours, but candidate will move to a night shift of 7pm–7am Sunday through Tuesday and alternate Wednesdays once training is complete.

Production Supervisor

Heyco seeks a Production Supervisor to join our Injection Molding Department.

Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Planning, supervising and coordinating Production activity to achieve quality and Production goals while holding excess scrap to a minimum.
  • Managing and training Production employees.
  • Recommending measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of product.
  • Working with other departments within the Company to achieve budget goals.
  • Enforcing company regulations on the production floor.
  • Enforcing all safety policies and PPE requirements in the department.

Experience in Injection Molding and some supervisory experience a plus.

Mechanical Design Engineer

We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer who will be responsible for injection molding tool design from product feasibility, manufacturability, part performance and cost stand point.

Responsibilities include working with the product design engineers and the production toolroom to create tooling design and manufacturing feasibilities for new and existing production tooling. The successful candidate will have experience in cavity and frame design; knowledge of shrinkage, manifold systems, steel selection, mechanism designs, water, hydraulics and venting. Duties will include cavity and frame design; leading strategic planning for tool designs, standards and sources; providing other departments with repair schedules to eliminate any quality or production issues; setting up, publishing and attending pre and post tryout meetings; coordinating tool design reviews and approvals; and providing communication to program management team and manufacturing engineering team regarding all tool issues.​

The qualified individual must have a Bachelors degree in Engineering and a minimum of three years of plastic injection molding tooling design experience. Must have proficiency in Pro/E and proven experience of working independently.
