Heyco® Maximized Cord Grips
Introducing the new Heyco®-Tite "Maximized" Liquid Tight Cord Grips, which allow for the largest cable diameter potential to fit through our standard cord grips. This enables users to utilize an existing knockout for a power cord that would have otherwise required a larger knockout and/or larger cord grip.
To ensure a proper fit, the cable's outer jacketing must be stripped back to allow individual conductors to pass through the throat of the cord grip body. The sealing nut operates in the same manner as our standard cord grip, providing liquid-tight and strain relief functionality by cinching down on the outer-jacketed portion of the cable.
The inclusion of an integral sealing ring guarantees a superior seal at the clearance or threaded mounting hole location with each use. These cord grips offer the widest range of approved cable diameters, with listed ranges representing the maximum IP68 sealing capabilities.
The ratchet design of the sealing nut assembly provides exceptional anti-vibration protection and ensures a secure grip on the cable. Additionally, the acme threads on the body prevent skipping and facilitate quick installation.
Constructed entirely of nylon with a Buna N sealing gland, these Cord Grips are resistant to salt water, weak acids, gasoline, alcohol, oil, grease, and common solvents (please note that this feature has not been assessed by UL). Available in multiple sizes, these cord grips can accommodate flexible cord diameters ranging from .435˝ (11.0 mm) to 1.560˝ (39.6 mm).
For specific UL approved 514B cable ranges, please contact Heyco.
Like many of our other cord grips, the Heyco®-Tite "Maximized" Liquid Tight Cord Grips have an IP68 rating and are pending approval for NEMA 4, 4X, 6 and 6P applications.
